Job Description:

The Clinical Laboratory Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational and administrative aspects of a clinical diagnostics laboratory. This includes managing staff, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, optimizing laboratory workflow, and guaranteeing the accuracy and timeliness of test results. The manager works closely with clinicians, pathologists, and hospital administrators to support patient care through high-quality lab diagnostics.

Responsibilities include hiring and training laboratory personnel, ensuring equipment calibration and maintenance, implementing quality control programs, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with national and international standards such as ISO 15189 or CAP accreditation. The manager also plays a key role in evaluating new testing technologies, facilitating audits, and enhancing lab efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.

This position requires a blend of clinical knowledge, leadership acumen, and quality assurance expertise. The Clinical Laboratory Manager is instrumental in maintaining high diagnostic standards and regulatory compliance in healthcare settings.

Job Requirement:

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory sciences or clinical pathology, with a minimum of 7–10 years of experience, including 3+ years in a lab management role. Certification from a recognized body (e.g., ASCP, HAAD, MOH) is preferred. Experience managing ISO 15189 or CAP-accredited labs, strong knowledge of clinical diagnostic methods, and familiarity with LIS systems are essential. Applicants must have excellent team management, planning, and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
