We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Mining Engineer to lead and oversee all mining engineering activities at our operations in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of safe and cost-effective mining projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
Key responsibilities include designing short and long-term mine plans, optimizing extraction methods, supervising geotechnical evaluations, and coordinating with geology, surveying, and operations teams. The Chief Mining Engineer will play a strategic role in equipment selection, pit design, production forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize productivity and resource recovery.
This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mining Engineering, over 10 years of relevant experience (with at least 3 in a senior role), and in-depth knowledge of mining software and technologies. Familiarity with UAE mining regulations and sustainability standards is highly preferred.

We are looking for a highly qualified Chief Mining Engineer with the technical expertise and leadership skills to manage large-scale mining operations in the UAE. The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the mining industry, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering or leadership position.
Technical Skills: Proven experience in mine planning, design, and operations; strong knowledge of open-pit and/or underground mining methods; proficiency in mining software such as Surpac, MineSight, or Datamine.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE mining regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety compliance.
Leadership: Strong project management and team leadership capabilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineering teams.
Analytical Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize mine production and reduce operational costs.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
Language: Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Other: Willingness to be based in a remote site environment and travel as needed.
