Job Description:
The CNC Machinist in Sharjah is responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision components used in manufacturing processes. This position requires in-depth knowledge of CNC machine operations, including interpreting technical drawings, selecting appropriate tools, programming G-code, and performing quality inspections on finished parts. The machinist works with materials such as metal, plastic, or composite, ensuring the correct dimensions and tolerances are maintained throughout production. Tasks include loading raw materials, calibrating equipment, monitoring the machining process, making real-time adjustments, and performing preventive maintenance on machines. In addition to hands-on operation, the CNC Machinist is expected to document job runs, track machine hours, and report irregularities or mechanical issues to supervisors. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety are critical in this role. Machinists collaborate closely with quality control and engineering teams to refine processes and improve efficiency. They are also responsible for ensuring workstations are clean and tools are maintained in optimal condition. This position may involve operating multiple machines simultaneously, depending on workload and production needs. The role is physically active and may require standing for extended periods and handling moderate loads.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should possess a technical diploma or vocational training in CNC machining, mechanical engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with CNC lathes, mills, or turning centers is highly preferred. Candidates must be proficient in reading blueprints, using measuring tools like calipers and micrometers, and editing or creating CNC programs. Good mathematical and analytical skills, a strong work ethic, and strict adherence to safety standards are essential. Familiarity with ISO quality systems and willingness to work shifts are also required.
