Job Description:
The Compression Molding Technician in Dubai is responsible for operating and maintaining compression molding machines to produce high-quality molded parts from thermoset or composite materials. The role involves preparing molds and materials, setting machine parameters, pre-heating materials as necessary, and ensuring precise placement of charge in the mold cavity before pressing. The technician oversees the full molding cycle, monitors process conditions such as temperature and pressure, and ensures cycle times are followed strictly to meet quality specifications. Post-molding responsibilities include cooling, demolding, trimming, and inspecting finished parts for conformance to tolerances. The technician is expected to maintain molds by cleaning and applying mold release agents, report any mechanical issues to maintenance teams, and participate in routine maintenance and calibration of equipment. Close coordination with quality assurance teams is essential for documenting production output and defects. The technician plays a key role in minimizing waste, optimizing material use, and ensuring safety procedures are upheld at all times. This position may involve repetitive tasks, standing for long periods, and working in a heat-intensive environment, typical of thermoset manufacturing operations.
Job Requirement:
A technical diploma in mechanical, plastics, or industrial manufacturing is preferred, with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in compression molding. Candidates should understand molding cycle parameters, part inspection techniques, and basic mold maintenance. Familiarity with safety practices and the ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments are critical. Physical stamina, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to quality control are essential. Experience working with phenolic, epoxy, or rubber-based materials in compression molding settings will be considered a strong asset.
