Job Description:
The CNC Turning Operator in Dubai is responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision cylindrical parts from metal or plastic. The role involves reading engineering drawings, loading raw materials, setting tool offsets, inputting program commands, and adjusting machine controls to ensure dimensions are maintained within tolerances. The operator conducts test runs, monitors the turning process, and makes real-time corrections to speed, feed, or tool positioning to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Responsibilities also include inspecting machined parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges, performing minor preventive maintenance, and ensuring production records and quality logs are properly maintained. The CNC Turning Operator is expected to change tools as needed, troubleshoot minor mechanical or software-related issues, and communicate any persistent faults to the maintenance or engineering teams. This role requires adherence to all workplace safety protocols and quality standards, with a focus on minimizing waste and downtime. Operators may also be involved in setting up jigs or fixtures, supporting batch changeovers, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts in the machining department. The job is physically active and requires extended periods of standing, machine operation, and visual concentration.
Job Requirement:
A technical diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, CNC Operations, or Machining Technology is required, along with 3–5 years of experience operating CNC turning machines. Candidates should possess knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC control interfaces such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Haas. Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings and using precision measurement tools is essential. Good problem-solving skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to monitor multiple production variables simultaneously are required. Familiarity with basic machine maintenance, tool life management, and safety procedures is important. Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
