Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Compactor Operator to handle compaction equipment used in road construction and earthwork projects across Dubai. The operator plays a crucial role in preparing roadbeds, embankments, and other subgrade layers by ensuring uniform compaction for optimal structural integrity.
The job entails operating various types of compactors—including single-drum, double-drum, and plate compactors—depending on project requirements. The operator is expected to interpret site blueprints, follow compaction sequences, adjust vibration settings, and inspect the compaction depth and density using measuring tools. Coordination with engineers and site supervisors is key to ensuring specifications are met.
The role also includes daily equipment inspections, lubricating moving parts, and maintaining clean machines. The operator must stay vigilant to hazards, especially when working near other heavy machinery or in confined areas. Compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations is mandatory.
Job Requirement:
A high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial, with a minimum of 2 years of experience operating compactors in road or foundation projects. Candidates must understand soil types, compaction techniques, and safety protocols. Familiarity with vibrating and pneumatic compaction systems, good physical fitness, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work long hours in hot climates are essential. Valid equipment operation certification and adherence to UAE site safety standards are required.
