Job Description:
The Compressed Air Technician in Abu Dhabi is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and servicing of compressed air systems used in industrial and commercial settings. This role includes installing air compressors, dryers, air receivers, and piping networks, as well as conducting preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and energy efficiency. Key duties involve inspecting for pressure drops, leaks, and mechanical failures in compressors and auxiliary equipment. The technician is expected to monitor system parameters, replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and calibrate pressure gauges and control panels. Diagnosing and rectifying faults related to motor drives, air end failures, overheating, and moisture control is a critical function of the role. The technician also manages system upgrades, retrofits, and the integration of air management systems. Regular documentation of service logs, preventive maintenance records, and safety checks is required. Additionally, the technician ensures compliance with safety and operational guidelines while maintaining a clean and safe work area. The role may require travel to multiple sites for on-site servicing and emergency repairs. This position demands strong mechanical and electrical skills, attention to system efficiency, and proactive communication with plant managers and service coordinators.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should hold a diploma in mechanical or electromechanical engineering or a relevant trade certification. At least 3 years of experience in maintaining compressed air systems, including rotary screw and piston compressors, is mandatory. Familiarity with system diagnostics, compressor control units, and air quality management is essential. Candidates must possess strong troubleshooting abilities, a customer-service mindset, and the capability to work independently or as part of a field service team.
