The primary duties and responsibilities may include: Design and Development: Design and develop mechanical systems, equipment, and components for ships, including propulsion systems, HVAC systems, piping systems, and auxiliary machinery. Technical Drawings and Specifications: Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements. Analysis and Simulation: Conduct engineering analysis and simulations to evaluate the performance, strength, and efficiency of mechanical systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Material Selection: Select appropriate materials for mechanical components based on factors such as strength, durability, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes, conducting inspections and testing as necessary. Job Requirement: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the shipbuilding or maritime industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials science. Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for 2D and 3D modeling. Familiarity with shipbuilding processes, marine equipment, and maritime regulations. Analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex engineering challenges.
