Job Description: The Supervisor in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry in Dubai, UAE, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various shipbuilding operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. The primary duties and responsibilities may include: Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of shipyard workers, including welders, fabricators, electricians, carpenters, riggers, and other tradespeople. Work Planning and Scheduling: Plan and prioritize work assignments, ensuring that tasks are allocated appropriately and completed within the specified timelines. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work being performed and ensure compliance with established standards, specifications, and safety regulations. Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all workers follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and meet project requirements. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor the progress of shipbuilding activities, identify any delays or issues, and take necessary actions to mitigate them. Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across different departments. Problem Solving: Identify and address any technical or operational challenges that arise during the shipbuilding process, implementing suitable solutions. Job Requirement: Requirements: Previous experience in a supervisory role within the shipbuilding or related industry. Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
