Job Description: The Supervisor in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry in Dubai, UAE, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating various shipbuilding operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow. The primary duties and responsibilities may include: Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to a team of shipyard workers, including welders, fabricators, electricians, carpenters, riggers, and other tradespeople. Work Planning and Scheduling: Plan and prioritize work assignments, ensuring that tasks are allocated appropriately and completed within the specified timelines. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work being performed and ensure compliance with established standards, specifications, and safety regulations. Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote a culture of safety, ensuring that all workers follow proper safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize productivity and meet project requirements. Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor the progress of shipbuilding activities, identify any delays or issues, and take necessary actions to mitigate them. Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination across different departments. Problem Solving: Identify and address any technical or operational challenges that arise during the shipbuilding process, implementing suitable solutions. Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to workers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively. Reporting: Prepare reports on work progress, productivity, and any incidents or accidents that occur on the shipyard.

Job Requirement: Requirements: Previous experience in a supervisory role within the shipbuilding or related industry. Knowledge of shipbuilding processes, equipment, and safety regulations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions under pressure. Knowledge of quality control principles and practices. Familiarity with relevant technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Proficiency in using computer software and systems relevant to shipyard operations. Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the shipbuilding industry. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Relevant certifications or training in shipbuilding or supervisory skills is advantageous.
