Job Description: The Plumber in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems on ships and other marine vessels. The primary duties and responsibilities may include: Installation: Install plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and valves, in accordance with specifications and regulatory requirements. Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, and faulty fixtures, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of plumbing systems. Pipefitting: Cut, thread, and join pipes using various tools and techniques, ensuring accurate measurements and proper connections. Fixture Installation: Install and connect various plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and faucets, following manufacturer instructions and plumbing codes. System Testing: Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper functioning using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing equipment, and other tools. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand the layout and installation requirements of plumbing systems. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, installations, and inspections. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate plumbing installations and repairs in shipbuilding projects. Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.

Job Requirement: Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Relevant certifications or training in plumbing. Previous experience in plumbing, preferably in the shipbuilding or marine industry. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Familiarity with plumbing codes and regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment. Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces and challenging environments. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
