Job Description: The Welder and Solderer in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is responsible for performing welding and soldering tasks to fabricate, repair, and maintain various components of ships and ship machinery. The primary duties and responsibilities may include: Welding and Soldering: Perform welding and soldering operations using various techniques and equipment to join, fabricate, or repair metal parts and components. Reading Blueprints: Interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements and dimensions. Material Preparation: Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and shaping them as per the specifications, ensuring proper fit and alignment. Welding Techniques: Utilize different welding techniques such as arc welding, gas welding, and spot welding to join metal parts and structures. Quality Control: Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards, including proper penetration, strength, and aesthetics. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with welding equipment and materials to ensure a safe working environment. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns. Collaboration: Coordinate with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including welding logs, material usage, and inspection reports. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, new techniques, and advancements in welding technology to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Requirement: Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Relevant certifications in welding or soldering techniques. Proven experience in welding and soldering, preferably in the shipbuilding or related industry. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Understanding of safety procedures and practices. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
