Job Description:
The Bakery Mixing Technician in Vancouver plays a critical role in the early stages of commercial baking by accurately preparing dough and batter mixtures for large-scale bakery operations. Working in commercial kitchens, industrial bakeries, or food manufacturing plants, this technician ensures precise measurement, weighing, and mixing of ingredients such as flour, sugar, yeast, water, and other additives, following standardized recipes and production schedules.
Key responsibilities include operating industrial mixers, monitoring batch consistency, adjusting ingredient quantities as needed, and maintaining the correct timing and mixing speeds. The technician also ensures all equipment is cleaned and sanitized before and after use, adheres to safety and hygiene regulations, and logs mixing data for quality control and traceability.
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and knowledge of food production processes to guarantee uniformity and consistency in bakery products. The technician works closely with bakers, line supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure timely and accurate preparation of mixes that meet quality standards for bread, pastries, and other baked goods.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in baking, food technology, or culinary arts preferred.
Experience: 1–2 years in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing environment ideal.
Skills:
Proficiency in measuring and mixing bakery ingredients
Ability to operate and maintain industrial mixing machines
Basic understanding of bakery production processes
