Job Description:

The Batch Mixer in Toronto plays a vital role in the food and beverage production process by preparing and blending ingredients according to precise formulations. Working in manufacturing plants, the Batch Mixer ensures all recipes are followed accurately to maintain consistency, quality, and food safety standards. This role involves weighing, measuring, and combining raw materials using industrial mixers, tanks, and automated systems.

Key responsibilities include setting up equipment, operating mixing machinery, monitoring batch times and temperatures, and ensuring all ingredients meet company specifications. The Batch Mixer must also document production details, perform in-process quality checks, and report deviations or equipment malfunctions to supervisors. The role often requires coordination with quality control, sanitation, and packaging teams to ensure a smooth production workflow.

Maintaining cleanliness, following food safety protocols, and adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are essential to ensure hygienic production environments. This position is crucial to supporting timely, safe, and efficient output of food and beverage products.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in food processing or mechanical operations is an asset.

Experience: 1–2 years in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.

Skills:

Ability to read and follow recipes or batch sheets

Strong understanding of mixing equipment and procedures

Basic math and measurement skills

Attention to detail for accuracy in ingredient handling

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Language: Basic proficiency in English for reading instructions and safety protocols.

Other Requirements:

Physically fit to lift bags or containers and stand for long periods

Willingness to work rotating shifts or overtime as needed

Knowledge of food safety regulations and GMP standards

Safety-conscious and responsible with machinery and ingredients
