Job Description:

The Banquet Coordinator in Winnipeg plays a pivotal role in planning, organizing, and executing banquet events for hotels, convention centres, restaurants, and catering facilities. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of banquet service, from pre-event planning to post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless coordination and exceptional guest experiences.

Key duties include liaising with clients to understand event requirements, coordinating with chefs, service staff, and vendors, and ensuring venues are set up according to specifications. The Banquet Coordinator also oversees scheduling, menu selections, event timelines, floor layouts, and special requests. On the event day, the coordinator supervises the setup, monitors service quality, resolves issues, and ensures adherence to food safety and service standards.

This role requires attention to detail, creativity in event planning, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Job Requirement:

Education: Diploma or certification in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in banquet services, catering coordination, or event management.

Skills:

Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to manage events with varying guest sizes

Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Delphi, Caterease)

Problem-solving mindset and customer-oriented approach

Language: English fluency is essential; additional languages are an asset.
