Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Biomedical Engineering Technologist to join our dynamic team in North York. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of our biomedical equipment and systems. Responsibilities will include conducting inspections, calibrations, and troubleshooting of medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. The Biomedical Engineering Technologist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, physicians, and technicians, to support product development and provide technical expertise. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to the documentation of procedures, quality control processes, and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirement: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or a related field. Certification as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Biomedical Engineering Technologist in the Engineering & Manufacturing industry, preferably in medical device manufacturing or healthcare settings. In-depth knowledge of biomedical equipment, systems, and technologies, including their design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Proficiency in conducting inspections, calibrations, and repairs of medical devices and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles as they relate to biomedical equipment. Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in the field, such as computer-aided design (CAD) software and medical device testing software. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, physicians, and technicians. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Knowledge of regulatory standards, such as Health Canada and FDA regulations, is desirable.
