Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and creative Industrial Design Engineer to join our team in Kitchener. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing design concepts for new products, as well as enhancing the aesthetics and functionality of existing products. Responsibilities will include conducting research, sketching ideas, creating 3D models and prototypes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of designs. The Industrial Design Engineer will also be involved in user testing and feedback collection to iterate and refine product designs. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to design documentation, create technical drawings, and collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to bring designs to fruition.

Job Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial design engineering within the Engineering & Manufacturing industry. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other 3D modeling tools. Strong understanding of design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and cost optimization. Excellent sketching and visualization skills to communicate design concepts effectively. Knowledge of human factors and ergonomics to ensure user-centered design solutions. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines. Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques and design for manufacturing (DFM) principles. Experience in consumer product design or medical device design is a plus.
