Job Description: As a Commercial Insurance Underwriter in Mississauga, Canada, within the Finance, Banking & Insurance industry, your role will involve assessing and evaluating risks associated with commercial insurance policies. Job Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (professional certifications such as CPCU, CIP, or FCIP are advantageous). Proven experience as a Commercial Insurance Underwriter or in a similar underwriting role within the Finance, Banking & Insurance industry. Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and risk assessment. Familiarity with underwriting guidelines, policy terms, and conditions. Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate risk exposures, pricing, and coverage adequacy. Excellent decision-making abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with brokers, agents, and other stakeholders. Proficiency in underwriting software and data analysis tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Knowledge of insurance regulations and compliance requirements. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
