Job Description:
The Domestic Maid is responsible for performing routine housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and order within private residences in Edmonton. This includes cleaning living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens; dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors; washing dishes; doing laundry and ironing; changing bed linens; and ensuring all rooms are neat and organized.
The maid may also be asked to assist with basic meal preparation, grocery unpacking, and occasional childcare or elder support as requested by the family. The role requires attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to follow specific cleaning routines and preferences of the household.
Working either part-time or full-time, domestic maids must respect household privacy, manage tasks independently, and communicate clearly with their employers. Punctuality, reliability, and a high standard of cleanliness are essential in this position.
Job Requirement:
Education: No formal education required; high school diploma is an asset.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in residential cleaning or domestic service.
Skills:
Proficiency in general household cleaning methods.
Ability to manage time and prioritize daily tasks.
Discreet and respectful of employer’s privacy.
Knowledge of safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
Basic laundry and ironing skills.
Language: Basic English communication required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.

Physically fit and able to lift, bend, and stand for long hours.
Honest, dependable, and attentive to detail.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
