Job Description: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Teacher to join our team in Winnipeg, Canada. As an Early Years Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality education and care for young children in their early developmental years. You will create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment, implement age-appropriate curriculum, and support the holistic development of children. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities that promote the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development of young children. Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that fosters curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning. Develop and implement individualized learning plans and strategies to meet the diverse needs of children, taking into consideration their abilities, interests, and learning styles. Use various teaching methods and resources to engage children actively and promote active learning and participation. Foster positive relationships with children, providing them with emotional support and guidance. Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure smooth operation of the classroom and effective communication with parents and families. Assess and monitor the progress of children, maintain accurate records, and provide regular feedback to parents and families on their child's development. Implement effective behavior management strategies and create a positive and respectful classroom culture. Stay updated with current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education, and integrate them into your teaching practice. Participate in professional development opportunities and engage in continuous learning to enhance your teaching skills and knowledge. Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required. Additional qualifications or certifications in early childhood education are advantageous. Teaching Experience: Previous experience working as an Early Years Teacher or in a similar role in an educational setting is preferred. Experience in planning and delivering age-appropriate curriculum and activities for young children is essential. Knowledge of Early Childhood Development: In-depth knowledge of early childhood development principles, theories, and best practices. Understanding the developmental milestones and needs of children in the early years is crucial. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with young children, colleagues, and parents. Ability to provide clear instructions, engage in active listening, and communicate feedback. Collaboration and Teamwork: Capacity to work collaboratively with fellow educators and support staff. Willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Creativity and Flexibility: Innovative and creative approach to designing stimulating and engaging learning experiences for young children. Ability to adapt plans and activities based on individual and group needs. First Aid and CPR Certification: Possession of valid First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Vulnerable Sector Check: Successful completion of a vulnerable sector check is required. Legal Authorization: Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada.
