Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Educational Psychologist to join our team in Hamilton, Canada. As an Educational Psychologist, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing intervention strategies, and offering support to students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive educational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional functioning. Interpret assessment results and provide clear, detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for educational interventions. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized intervention plans to address students' learning difficulties or behavioral challenges. Provide individual or group counseling to students to support their social-emotional development and overall well-being. Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to promote positive behavior management and create inclusive learning environments. Consult with teachers and parents to provide guidance and support in addressing academic and behavioral concerns. Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs. Stay updated with current research, best practices, and legislative requirements related to educational psychology. Provide professional development opportunities and training to teachers and staff on topics related to educational psychology and inclusive education. Advocate for students' educational rights and needs, promoting a collaborative and supportive school environment. Qualifications: Education: A master's or doctoral degree in Educational Psychology or a related field is required. The degree should be from an accredited institution. Licensing and Certification: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an Educational Psychologist in the province of Ontario, Canada. Possession of relevant certifications or registrations specific to educational psychology is highly desirable. Assessment Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in administering and interpreting a variety of educational assessments to assess cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and socio-emotional functioning. Special Education Knowledge: Familiarity with special education laws, policies, and practices. Understanding of inclusive education and experience in developing and implementing intervention plans.
