Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and energetic Events Manager to join our team in Oshawa, Canada. As the Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events at our food and beverage establishment, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Event Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with clients to understand their event objectives, preferences, and budget. Develop event concepts, create detailed event plans, and manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, setup, décor, audiovisual requirements, and catering arrangements. Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and providing outstanding customer service. Communicate regularly to address inquiries, provide event updates, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop event budgets, negotiate contracts, and manage expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability. Monitor and control event-related expenditures, track revenue, and prepare financial reports for management review. Team Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, such as culinary, serving, and technical staff, to ensure seamless event execution. Coordinate staffing requirements, provide clear instructions, and ensure effective communication among team members to deliver exceptional service during events. Vendor and Supplier Management: Source and manage relationships with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Negotiate contracts, review proposals, and ensure timely delivery of services. Oversee vendor performance, quality control, and adherence to agreed-upon terms. Marketing and Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to develop event marketing strategies and promotional materials. Utilize various marketing channels, including social media, email campaigns, and advertising, to generate event awareness and maximize attendance. Event Evaluation and Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of each event. Gather feedback from clients, attendees, and staff, analyze event metrics, and identify areas for improvement. Use insights gained to enhance future events and continually elevate the guest experience. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during events, including food handling, alcohol service, and crowd management. Maintain a safe environment for guests, staff, and vendors.

Job Requirement: Previous experience in event management, preferably in the food and beverage industry. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple events concurrently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to conceptualize and execute unique event experiences. Budgeting and financial management skills to ensure events remain within allocated budgets. Proficiency in event planning software and technology tools. Knowledge of local health and safety regulations related to events and food service. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
