Job Description: We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Marine Surveyor to join our team in Calgary, Canada. As a Marine Surveyor in the shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, you will be responsible for inspecting and assessing the condition, safety, and compliance of ships, vessels, and marine equipment. Your expertise in marine surveying, understanding of industry regulations, and attention to detail will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our projects. Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and surveys of ships, vessels, and marine equipment to assess their condition, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Evaluate structural integrity, stability, and performance of ships and marine systems. Review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation related to ships and marine equipment. Conduct measurements, tests, and examinations using specialized tools and equipment. Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, recommendations, and any non-compliance issues. Provide guidance and recommendations for repairs, maintenance, and improvements. Collaborate with shipbuilders, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements. Stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in marine surveying. Maintain accurate records of survey activities and documentation.

Job Requirement: Previous experience as a Marine Surveyor or similar role in the shipbuilding or marine industry is required. In-depth knowledge of ship construction, marine systems, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with classification societies and their rules and regulations. Strong understanding of marine surveying techniques, equipment, and methodologies. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Effective communication and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Relevant certifications or qualifications in marine surveying are preferred.
