Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in North York, Canada. As a Production Supervisor in the shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient workflow, adherence to schedules, and high-quality output. Your leadership skills, knowledge of production processes, and ability to drive continuous improvement will contribute to the success of our projects. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management. Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and adherence to safety regulations. Monitor and evaluate production processes to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions. Train and mentor production staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve any production-related issues. Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, material usage, and production reports. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock for production needs. Promote a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and employee engagement.

Job Requirement: Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in the shipbuilding or manufacturing industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of production processes, techniques, and best practices. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse production team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with quality control principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders at various levels. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using production management software and tools. Relevant certifications or training in production management or leadership are desirable.
