Job Description: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced Structural Steel Fabricators to join our team in Halifax, Canada. As a Structural Steel Fabricator in the shipbuilding and ship machinery industry, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components for shipbuilding projects. Your expertise in reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring quality standards will contribute to the successful completion of our projects. Responsibilities: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate structural steel components for shipbuilding. Operate and maintain various fabrication equipment, such as welding machines, cutting tools, and bending machines. Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fitting tasks to assemble structural steel components accurately. Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with other team members, such as engineers, welders, and supervisors, to ensure efficient workflow and project completion. Follow safety procedures and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Assist in material handling and inventory management as required. Continuously enhance skills and knowledge related to structural steel fabrication techniques and technologies.

Job Requirement: Previous experience as a Structural Steel Fabricator or similar role, preferably in the shipbuilding industry. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication techniques, equipment, and welding processes. Proficiency in operating fabrication equipment, such as welding machines, cutting tools, and bending machines. Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations related to steel fabrication. Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting project deadlines. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Valid certifications or licenses related to structural steel fabrication are an asset.
