Job Description:

We are hiring a skilled and safety-oriented Offshore Drilling Specialist to join our upstream energy division in Hamburg. This role is critical in planning, executing, and supervising offshore drilling operations with a strong focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

As part of our offshore engineering team, you will oversee drilling activities on rigs, coordinate with subcontractors, monitor drilling performance metrics, and ensure all operations align with engineering plans and environmental regulations. Your role includes real-time decision-making during drilling, risk mitigation, and troubleshooting any technical or logistical challenges that may arise during exploration or production phases.

You will also work with geologists, reservoir engineers, and health & safety teams to optimize well paths, improve drilling fluid performance, and reduce non-productive time. Field assignments, including offshore rig visits, are a key part of this dynamic and hands-on role.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with 5–8 years of experience in offshore drilling operations.

Thorough knowledge of well control, BOP systems, drilling equipment, and offshore safety standards (IWCF, API, ISO) is essential. Experience with offshore software tools such as WellPlan, Landmark, or Drillbench is a strong plus.

Must be capable of working in high-pressure environments, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring zero-incident safety culture.
