Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Pattern Cutter to join our apparel production team in Berlin. This role involves creating accurate and detailed patterns that serve as templates for garment production. The Pattern Cutter will translate design sketches and technical drawings into cutting patterns, ensuring precise measurements and specifications for each garment style.

Responsibilities include drafting and modifying patterns manually or using CAD software, laying out pattern pieces on fabric to optimize material use, and collaborating with designers and production teams to refine garment fit and style. The role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, fabric behavior, and size grading techniques.

The Pattern Cutter plays a vital role in the development and quality control of apparel products, ensuring patterns are clear, accurate, and production-ready. Attention to detail, creativity, and technical skill are essential for success in this position.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with design and production teams in a fast-paced environment focused on quality and innovation. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while meeting tight deadlines.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should have completed formal training in pattern making, fashion design, or garment technology, with at least 3 years of experience in pattern cutting within the apparel industry.

Proficiency in both manual drafting techniques and industry-standard CAD pattern software (such as Gerber or Lectra) is essential. Experience in size grading, pattern alteration, and fabric analysis is highly desirable.

Applicants must have excellent spatial awareness, precision, and a thorough understanding of garment construction and fabric properties. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with design and production teams are important.

Knowledge of quality control processes and production timelines is expected. Candidates should be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy. Flexibility to adapt to changing design requirements and deadlines is necessary.

A strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement in pattern-making techniques will be an advantage.
