Job Description:
The App Localization Specialist Lead in AI Farwaniyah will spearhead the localization of mobile application content across various platforms and international markets. You will take the lead in coordinating and implementing localization strategies that ensure mobile app interfaces, messages, and supporting content are accurately translated, culturally appropriate, and functionally seamless. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing global user experience by guiding localization planning from design through development and release.
Your responsibilities include overseeing translation workflows, maintaining consistency across language variants, and ensuring the use of proper terminology and style. You will supervise linguists, QA testers, and localization engineers to monitor project timelines and linguistic accuracy. You will work closely with developers to integrate localized resources, resolve language display issues, and maintain compliance with platform guidelines.
The lead is also expected to audit localized apps, evaluate user feedback, and recommend continuous improvements. You may also be responsible for creating localization kits, preparing glossaries and style guides, and managing content updates in agile release environments.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should possess a bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Computer Science, Translation, or related disciplines. At least 4 years of professional experience in content or software localization is essential, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity within mobile localization.
Proficiency in localization tools like Phrase, Lokalise, or Smartling and familiarity with iOS and Android development frameworks are required. Experience with continuous localization processes, UI/UX localization testing, and internationalization best practices will be expected.
Candidates must be fluent in English and at least one target localization language. Skills in managing cross-functional teams, setting linguistic quality standards, and identifying automation opportunities in localization pipelines are desirable. A strong grasp of cultural adaptation, mobile app store requirements, and in-app messaging frameworks is critical.
