Job Description:
The Arabic to English Translation Specialist in Qurain is responsible for converting various forms of Arabic text into grammatically correct and contextually appropriate English, ensuring that the meaning, tone, and style of the original content are retained. The specialist works on a wide range of documents including legal contracts, academic articles, technical manuals, financial reports, and cultural publications.
The role involves not only word-for-word translation but also the cultural adaptation of content for the target audience. Key responsibilities include maintaining consistency in terminology, verifying technical terms, proofreading, and collaborating with subject matter experts and editors to ensure quality and compliance with client requirements.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Arabic Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience translating content from Arabic to English.
High proficiency in both Arabic and English, with strong grammar and vocabulary.
Experience translating specialized content in legal, financial, or technical fields.
Familiarity with Arabic dialects and regional language variations.
Proficiency in CAT tools (e.g., SDL Trados, Wordfast, MemoQ).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in grammar and tone.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple translation assignments.
Excellent proofreading and editing skills in English.
Certification from recognized translation institutions is a plus.
