Job Description:
The Courier Service Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of documents, parcels, and small cargo within Dukhan and surrounding areas in Qatar. Reporting to the logistics supervisor, the driver plans and follows efficient routes to ensure prompt delivery while complying with traffic laws and company policies. Duties include vehicle inspection and maintenance, loading and unloading packages, verifying delivery addresses, obtaining recipient signatures, and handling payment or receipt documentation when necessary.
The role demands excellent driving skills, punctuality, and effective time management to meet delivery deadlines. The driver also maintains communication with dispatchers to report delays or issues encountered on the route. Adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of cargo is crucial to prevent damage or loss. The position may involve occasional assistance in warehouse sorting or customer service.
This role is essential to supporting Dukhan’s courier and logistics infrastructure, ensuring smooth flow of goods and communications across the region.
Job Requirement:
Education: Basic education preferred; valid Qatari driving license required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year driving experience, preferably in courier or delivery services.
Skills:
Proficient in safe vehicle operation and navigation.
Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
Basic vehicle maintenance awareness.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle delivery documentation accurately.
Language: Basic Arabic and English communication skills required.
Other Requirements:
Clean driving record with no serious violations.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings.
Physically fit to load/unload parcels.
