Job Description:
We are hiring an Asphalt Paving Operator to control paving machines that lay asphalt on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces. You will be responsible for regulating the machine's speed and flow, ensuring the asphalt mat is evenly distributed and compacted.
Your role will also include coordinating with truck drivers, managing paving alignment, and inspecting the asphalt surface for quality control. Daily inspections and minor equipment repairs are part of the job.
You will play a key role in achieving high-quality road finishes that meet exacting engineering standards.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have hands-on experience with asphalt paving machines and understand the paving process, including screed control, joint matching, and grade reading.
You should be familiar with HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) behavior, machine calibration, and temperature management. The ability to work with surveyors and compaction crews is necessary.
A safety-first mindset, physical stamina, and willingness to work in various weather conditions are important. Prior experience on highway or airport paving projects is a strong asset.
