Job Description:
We are hiring a Residential Housekeeper to provide reliable and thorough cleaning services in private homes located across Barcelona. This role focuses on ensuring cleanliness and organization in living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Your responsibilities will include general housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, mopping, washing dishes, laundry, ironing, dusting, and trash removal. You may also be asked to assist with grocery unpacking or organizing storage spaces.
This is a client-facing position where trust, punctuality, and attention to detail are essential. You will typically work independently at assigned residences, though sometimes you may work as part of a household team. Instructions may be provided directly by homeowners or through a housekeeping coordinator.
You are expected to treat each home with respect and deliver services according to the homeowner’s preferences. Flexibility in scheduling, including availability during weekends or holidays, is a plus. The ideal candidate is efficient, tidy, and respectful of personal property and privacy. Job Requirement:
Applicants should have previous experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a private or hospitality setting. You will need good physical condition to perform repetitive tasks such as scrubbing, carrying laundry baskets, and changing linens. Attention to detail is important, especially in handling delicate items, fine furniture, or luxury materials. You must be comfortable using different types of cleaning products and tools, and able to follow special care instructions from homeowners.
Communication skills in Spanish are important, as is the ability to understand written or spoken cleaning instructions. Basic knowledge of English or Catalan is a plus but not required. You should present yourself neatly, arrive on time, and show a respectful attitude toward clients at all times.
Flexibility in scheduling, availability for urgent or last-minute calls, and willingness to adapt to each household’s unique routine are all desirable traits.
