Job Description:
We are seeking a Traffic Management Supervisor to oversee the planning and execution of traffic control strategies around construction zones, public events, and road maintenance sites. You will ensure smooth traffic flow and compliance with local safety regulations.
The role includes directing traffic management crews, approving signage placement, coordinating with law enforcement, and mitigating traffic delays. You will be responsible for creating traffic control plans, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all safety measures are properly implemented.
You’ll also monitor real-time site conditions and adapt plans based on unexpected road closures, weather disruptions, or emergencies. Your leadership and organizational skills will be vital in preventing congestion and maintaining public safety.
Job Requirement:
A diploma or certification in Traffic Management, Civil Engineering, or Transportation Planning is preferred. Prior experience in supervising road crews or managing traffic diversion plans is required.
You must be knowledgeable about road signage, signal placement, and local road safety laws. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for directing teams and working with external agencies.
The role requires physical stamina and a willingness to work outdoors, sometimes in extreme weather. You should be proficient in reporting and documentation, and able to use traffic modeling or scheduling software.
