Job Description:
The Architectural Drafter supports architectural teams by producing precise and detailed technical drawings for residential, commercial, and institutional building projects. The drafter prepares floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details based on architectural concepts and client specifications. Working in collaboration with architects and designers, the drafter ensures all drawings align with building codes, zoning laws, and municipality requirements. Responsibilities include revising layouts based on redlines or design updates, coordinating drawing sets for submission, and integrating consultant inputs such as structural or MEP systems. The drafter also assists with preparing 3D models and rendering support when needed. Strong organizational skills are needed to maintain drawing logs, version control, and submission records. Attention to detail, consistency in documentation, and adherence to deadlines are crucial for the role.
Job Requirement:
A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Architectural Drafting or a related field with 3–5 years of drafting experience is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and architectural rendering software is essential. Familiarity with UAE building regulations, submission requirements, and authority portals (e.g., Ajman Municipality) is highly valued. The ability to interpret design intent and convert it into buildable documents is key to success.
