Job Description:
The BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator plays a critical role in the management, coordination, and quality control of BIM processes across architecture, engineering, and construction disciplines. This role involves supporting design teams by facilitating BIM workflows, managing model integration, and ensuring compliance with project standards and protocols. The coordinator oversees the production of accurate 3D models, verifies the implementation of LOD (Level of Development) specifications, and ensures that clash detection and coordination are regularly performed using tools like Navisworks or Solibri. Additional responsibilities include developing BIM execution plans, managing file exchanges, supporting federated model creation, and conducting model health checks. The coordinator also liaises between design consultants, contractors, and clients to maintain consistent information flow and version control throughout the project lifecycle. Strong documentation skills, cross-functional communication, and a deep understanding of interdisciplinary coordination are essential. This role is foundational for ensuring construction-ready deliverables are technically sound and aligned with client expectations.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field with 4–6 years of experience in BIM coordination is essential. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and BIM 360 is required. Familiarity with ISO 19650 standards, clash detection protocols, and multidisciplinary model coordination is important. Experience working in UAE-based projects and preparing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) is highly preferred.
