The role involves designing experiments, culturing organisms, sequencing DNA, analyzing biochemical samples, and documenting results. Working within labs or research institutions, the researcher must maintain lab protocols, ensure biohazard safety, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams such as chemists, data scientists, or medical professionals. The position also includes preparing research papers, applying for funding, and potentially mentoring interns or junior scientists. Key areas of focus may include microbiology, genetics, botany, or ecology depending on the organization’s scope. Job Requirement:
A Master’s or Ph.D. in Biology, Biotechnology, or Life Sciences is essential, along with 3–6 years of laboratory research experience. Familiarity with lab techniques such as PCR, microscopy, spectrophotometry, and data analysis tools like R or BioPython is important. Strong communication skills and experience working in regulated lab environments (e.g., ISO, GLP) are highly desirable.
