Job Description:
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Back Kitchen Support staff member to join our culinary team in Abu Dhabi. This role provides essential assistance behind the scenes to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and meets the highest standards of cleanliness and food preparation.
The Back Kitchen Support is responsible for preparing raw ingredients such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, and meats, in accordance with kitchen orders. This role supports the main kitchen team by organizing supplies, restocking ingredients, and assisting in basic food preparation tasks. Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and well-organized kitchen area is a critical part of the job, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
The position involves handling kitchen equipment safely and ensuring all food handling complies with hygiene and safety standards. The Back Kitchen Support assists with inventory management by helping receive deliveries, checking for quality and freshness, and storing ingredients properly to avoid spoilage. The role also includes waste disposal and recycling duties to maintain a clean work environment.
Physical stamina is necessary for standing for long hours, lifting moderate weights, and performing repetitive motions in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
