Job Description:
The Product Formulation Chemist in Dubai is responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing formulations of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, or personal care products. This role ensures that formulations are safe, effective, and compliant with regulatory standards while meeting targeted product specifications such as stability, texture, and bioavailability.
Responsibilities include selecting and mixing active ingredients and excipients, conducting compatibility and stability tests, scaling formulations from laboratory to pilot production, and preparing technical documentation including formulation records, MSDS, and COAs. The chemist works collaboratively with R&D, quality control, regulatory affairs, and production teams. They are also responsible for troubleshooting formulation issues and suggesting improvements to enhance product quality or shelf life.
Job Requirement:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Chemical Engineering is required. Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in formulation development, preferably in the pharmaceutical or cosmetic industry. Knowledge of emulsions, suspensions, tablets, capsules, and topical preparations is essential. Strong lab skills, familiarity with GMP/GLP, and analytical thinking are required. Experience with regulatory documentation and scale-up processes is an advantage.
