Job Description:
We are hiring a skilled Road Roller Operator for road construction and asphalt compaction tasks in Dubai. The operator will use double drum, pneumatic, or vibratory rollers to compact asphalt layers and sub-base materials to specified densities. The operator must conduct pre-start checks, monitor compaction effectiveness, and maintain straight, even passes for optimal surface results.
Duties include adjusting roller frequency and amplitude based on material type, coordinating with the paving crew to maintain workflow, and ensuring compaction meets required tolerances. Basic troubleshooting and maintenance of the roller are also expected.
This role demands constant focus on site safety, equipment maneuverability in tight areas, and effective coordination with the paving team. The work involves exposure to noise, heat, and dust, and may require night or overtime shifts based on project schedules.
Job Requirement:
Applicants should have at least 2–4 years of experience operating asphalt and soil compaction rollers. A valid UAE heavy equipment license is mandatory. Candidates must be familiar with road construction standards, have good knowledge of compaction techniques, and ensure accurate layer thickness and density. Attention to detail, spatial awareness, and machine care are essential.
