Job Description:
The Building Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and orderliness within residential, commercial, or institutional buildings in Toronto. This entry-level position involves routine janitorial duties, monitoring building systems, and providing general assistance to tenants and staff.
Core tasks include cleaning common areas such as lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and restrooms; removing trash; performing minor maintenance tasks; and reporting any facility issues to management. The porter may also assist with setting up rooms for events, delivering packages, and ensuring compliance with building security protocols.
This role demands reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Building Porter contributes to creating a safe and pleasant environment for building occupants.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous janitorial or porter experience is beneficial.
