Job Description:

We are hiring a Blast Hole Driller to support our mineral extraction operations in Hamburg. This position is responsible for operating drilling rigs to create blast holes in rock or earth, which are then loaded with explosives for fragmentation. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the precise drilling of holes according to depth and spacing specifications outlined in blasting plans.

Responsibilities include setting up drill rigs, monitoring drilling progress, checking for geological anomalies, and performing routine maintenance on drilling equipment. You will work closely with the blasting crew to ensure holes are properly prepared and meet all safety and technical requirements. This role requires precision, situational awareness, and a strict adherence to safety standards in a high-risk environment.

Job Requirement:

Candidates must have experience operating blast hole or similar drilling equipment in a mining or construction setting. A technical diploma or certification in drilling operations or mining technology is highly desirable. Familiarity with geological formations and drilling techniques, including down-the-hole and rotary drilling, is essential.

Applicants should be physically fit, capable of working in rugged conditions, and comfortable with shift schedules. A safety-first mindset, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are required. Previous experience in explosive handling or coordination with blasting teams is a plus.
