Job Description:
We are seeking an Exploration Driller to support our mineral exploration activities in Hamburg. This role involves drilling exploratory boreholes to collect subsurface data and samples, crucial for evaluating mineral deposits and planning extraction operations.
The driller will operate and maintain drilling rigs, ensure correct positioning and depth of holes, and adjust drilling parameters based on geological feedback. Responsibilities also include preparing drilling sites, monitoring equipment performance, and coordinating with geologists and surveyors to meet exploration goals.
The Exploration Driller will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of drilling operations, conducting routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and sometimes in remote locations.
Ideal candidates will have solid mechanical skills, experience in exploration drilling, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment focused on precision and safety.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have completed technical or vocational training related to mining, drilling technology, or geological exploration. At least 3 years of hands-on experience in exploration drilling or a similar field is required.
Applicants should demonstrate proficiency in operating different types of drilling rigs, interpreting geological data, and adjusting drilling methods accordingly. Mechanical troubleshooting skills and routine equipment maintenance capabilities are essential.
Physical fitness and the ability to work in outdoor and sometimes rugged conditions are necessary. Strong adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards is expected.
Fluency in German is mandatory for clear communication and regulatory compliance. Basic English skills are advantageous for understanding technical manuals and collaborating with international teams. Certification in drilling safety and equipment operation is preferred.
