Job Description:
We are hiring a Deep Borehole Driller for specialized drilling operations in Berlin. This position focuses on drilling deep boreholes for exploration, groundwater extraction, or mining purposes, often extending hundreds of meters below the surface.
The driller will operate and monitor advanced drilling rigs capable of penetrating various geological layers. Responsibilities include setting up the rig, controlling drilling parameters such as pressure and rotation speed, and ensuring borehole stability throughout the process.
This role requires precise adherence to drilling plans and safety protocols, frequent equipment inspections, and coordination with geologists and engineers to collect accurate data. The operator will also perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Due to the technical complexity and depth of operations, candidates must demonstrate strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under challenging conditions with strict safety measures.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have formal technical training in drilling technology, mining engineering, or related disciplines. At least 3 years of experience operating deep drilling rigs is required, preferably with exposure to geological exploration or groundwater drilling.
Applicants should be proficient in handling complex drilling machinery, monitoring drill parameters, and maintaining borehole integrity under varying subsurface conditions. Knowledge of drill fluids, casing installation, and borehole logging is highly desirable.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in remote or confined locations are essential. Candidates must have a strong safety mindset, capable of following detailed safety and environmental regulations.
Fluency in German is necessary for clear communication and compliance with regulations. Basic English skills are advantageous for technical documentation. Certification in rig operation and safety training is preferred.
