Job Description:
We are hiring a Concrete Spraying Technician to support our tunneling and underground construction projects in Frankfurt am Main. This specialist role involves operating shotcrete machines to apply sprayed concrete onto tunnel walls, rock faces, and other underground surfaces for stabilization and structural support.
Key responsibilities include preparing concrete mixtures, setting up spraying equipment, and controlling spray patterns to achieve proper coverage and thickness. The technician will monitor the curing process and may also install mesh reinforcement prior to spraying. Coordination with engineers and site supervisors is essential to meet design specifications and safety requirements.
The position demands careful handling of equipment in confined or low-light environments. The technician must ensure surface preparation, machine calibration, and nozzle operation are correctly managed to produce high-quality, durable finishes. This is a critical role in ensuring underground structures remain secure and weather-resistant.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have completed vocational training or a technical diploma in construction technology, civil engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in concrete spraying, particularly in tunnel or underground settings, is highly preferred.
Applicants should have hands-on experience operating shotcrete equipment and preparing concrete mixes. Familiarity with nozzle techniques, spray patterns, and reinforcement procedures is necessary. Understanding the properties of sprayed concrete and the curing process is essential.
The job requires physical fitness, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work in confined spaces and underground conditions. Candidates must follow safety guidelines for ventilation, protective gear, and pressurized machinery operation.
Fluency in German is required for communication and understanding safety protocols. Basic English is advantageous for interpreting machinery manuals and technical specifications. A valid certificate or license for operating concrete spraying equipment is preferred.
