Job Description:
We are hiring a Conveyor Maintenance Technician in Cologne to maintain and repair conveyor systems used in material transport within mining operations. The role includes inspecting belts for wear, aligning components, replacing damaged parts, and conducting preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
The technician will monitor belt tension, ensure proper operation of pulleys and motors, and troubleshoot system faults. Duties also include keeping maintenance logs, working with mechanical and electrical teams, and following safety procedures during repairs or shutdowns.
Job Requirement:
Candidates must have completed vocational training in mechanical or industrial maintenance and have at least 2 years of experience maintaining conveyor systems in mining or manufacturing environments.
A strong understanding of belt alignment, splicing, mechanical drives, and motor control is required. Familiarity with diagnostic tools, vibration monitoring, and lubrication systems is essential.
Applicants must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and physically capable of working in confined and high-noise areas. Fluency in German is mandatory. Certification in industrial maintenance, lockout/tagout procedures, and rotating equipment servicing is highly preferred.
