An Asphalt Paving Operator is required for a reputable construction and industrial machinery company based in Rome. This role focuses on operating asphalt paving machines to lay down asphalt for roads, parking lots, and other paved surfaces, ensuring smooth and durable finishes.
The operator will control paving machinery to distribute asphalt evenly, monitor material flow, and adjust settings for optimal compaction and surface quality. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment before and after use, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with the construction team to meet project specifications and deadlines.
The ideal candidate has experience in operating asphalt paving equipment, understands the basics of asphalt composition and application, and is committed to safety and quality standards. Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential.

Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience (minimum 2 years) operating asphalt paving machines or similar heavy construction equipment.
Previous work in road construction, paving, or civil engineering projects is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Skilled in operating asphalt pavers, rollers, and other related machinery.
Knowledge of asphalt materials, paving techniques, and compaction processes.
Ability to monitor machinery settings, control asphalt flow, and adjust paving thickness accurately.
Basic mechanical skills for performing equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards for construction sites.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Good physical stamina to work outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and to perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb on machinery for extended periods.
Strong commitment to safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communication & Work Ethic:
Proficiency in Italian is required; basic English skills are a plus.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with site supervisors and crew.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including overtime when needed.
