Job Description:
A Concrete Finishing Machine Operator is required in Rome to operate machinery used for finishing concrete surfaces in construction projects. This role focuses on ensuring smooth, level, and durable concrete finishes for floors, pavements, and other structural elements.
The operator is responsible for setting up, controlling, and maintaining concrete finishing machines such as power trowels, screeds, and grinders. Precise handling of these machines ensures the concrete surface meets project specifications for texture, flatness, and quality.
Daily tasks include inspecting machinery before use, monitoring concrete curing processes, and adjusting machine settings to achieve the desired finish. The operator collaborates closely with construction teams to coordinate timing and surface preparation, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality results.
Safety compliance and routine machine maintenance are critical, requiring the operator to follow all health and safety protocols and perform basic troubleshooting and cleaning.
Ideal candidates have experience with concrete finishing equipment, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in outdoor and variable conditions.

Education & Licensing:

Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience operating concrete finishing machines such as power trowels, screeds, or grinders.
Strong mechanical skills for equipment setup, operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
Knowledge of concrete curing processes, finishing techniques, and quality control standards.
Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and finishing requirements accurately.
Familiarity with construction site safety practices and regulations.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Physically fit to handle the demands of operating heavy machinery outdoors for extended periods.
Ability to work in variable weather conditions and on uneven surfaces.
Commitment to following strict health and safety protocols, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communication & Work Ethic:
Fluency in Italian is required; basic English skills are a plus.
