Job Description:
A Bulk Material Transport Driver is needed in Rome to manage the safe and efficient transportation of bulk materials such as aggregates, sand, gravel, and industrial products to and from construction and manufacturing sites. This role is vital for maintaining smooth supply chains and supporting large-scale industrial and construction projects.
The driver will operate heavy-duty trucks designed for bulk material hauling, ensuring loads are secured properly and deliveries are completed on schedule. Responsibilities include loading and unloading bulk materials, inspecting vehicles before and after trips, and performing routine maintenance checks to ensure optimal truck condition.
Daily tasks involve planning routes, coordinating with site managers, adhering to traffic and safety regulations, and documenting delivery logs accurately. The driver must be capable of navigating urban and off-road terrains while maintaining safety and efficiency.
Ideal candidates possess a valid heavy vehicle license, experience in bulk material transportation or related heavy machinery operation, and a strong understanding of safety protocols. Good physical fitness, excellent time management, and communication skills are essential.

Licensing & Certification:
Valid heavy goods vehicle (HGV) or commercial driver’s license appropriate for bulk material transport in Italy.
Certification in safe handling and transport of bulk materials is preferred.
Possession of a tachograph card for monitoring driving hours is an advantage.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks or bulk material transport vehicles in construction, industrial, or logistics sectors.
Strong knowledge of vehicle operation, loading/unloading procedures, and cargo securing techniques.
Ability to read and interpret transport documents, route maps, and safety instructions.
Familiarity with operating heavy machinery in different weather and terrain conditions.
Basic mechanical skills to conduct pre-trip inspections and minor troubleshooting.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Good physical condition to handle manual loading/unloading assistance and long hours of driving.
Strict adherence to road safety rules, health and safety regulations, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods during transport.
Communication & Personal Attributes:
Fluency in Italian is mandatory; basic English proficiency is a plus.
Strong communication skills for coordination with dispatchers, site managers, and colleagues.
Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
