Candidates for the Compressed Air Technician role should meet the following requirements:
Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of compressed air systems in industrial or heavy machinery environments.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of air compressors, dryers, filters, valves, and piping systems. Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic systems and identify leaks or inefficiencies. Skilled in using diagnostic tools, pressure gauges, and air quality testing equipment.
Mechanical & Electrical Knowledge: Understanding of mechanical components and electrical controls associated with compressed air systems, including basic wiring and control panels.
Reading Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical and pneumatic schematics, and safety documentation accurately.
Preventive Maintenance: Experience in conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
Safety Compliance: Knowledge of workplace safety standards related to compressed air equipment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of pressurized systems.
