Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in industrial coatings, painting, or surface treatment preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a coating technician or industrial painter, ideally within heavy machinery or manufacturing sectors.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in surface preparation techniques including cleaning, sanding, degreasing, and masking.
Skilled in applying various coatings such as liquid paints, primers, powder coatings, and industrial finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or dipping methods.
Knowledge of different coating materials and their applications for protection and aesthetics.
Ability to inspect coated surfaces for defects, uniformity, and thickness using appropriate tools and standards.
Familiarity with coating equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Understanding of environmental regulations and safe handling of coating materials and chemicals.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and work in standing or bent positions for extended periods.
Ability to work safely in environments with fumes, dust, and chemical exposure using personal protective equipment (PPE).
