The Battery Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of battery systems used in agricultural and fisheries equipment and facilities in Rome. This role supports the reliable operation of electric-powered machinery, vehicles, backup power supplies, and other battery-dependent devices critical to farming and aquaculture operations.

Key duties include testing battery performance, diagnosing faults, replacing defective cells, and ensuring optimal charging and discharging cycles to extend battery life. The technician performs preventive maintenance, cleans battery terminals, checks electrolyte levels, and monitors battery storage conditions to prevent failures and hazards.

The role requires adherence to safety protocols related to handling batteries, including proper disposal of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental regulations.
